Short Presentation
The Unit of of Obstetrics and Gynaecology consists of a highly specialised team dedicated to taking care of women's health at every stage of life through prevention, diagnosis and treatment programmes in both the gynaecological and obstetrical fields. Our department is a reference centre for obstetrics and gynaecology. More than 1,500 births are carried out every year. We have the operating theatre available daily for benign and malignant gynaecological surgery. Robotic surgery procedures are performed. The close relationship with other European countries enables a very important cultural exchange. In our department we have a multidisciplinary simulation centre. Our residents have free access and courses are organised periodically. All trainees are involved in some form of clinical research
