1st dpt. Of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is one of the largest in Slovakia, with app. 3000 births per year. We are a part of perinatological centre. Doctors are involved in many international projects, from the field of maternal morbidity and mortality. At our university centre for Reproductive medicine, we focus on all possible problems of infertile couple. In the field of gynaecology whole spectrum of surgery is performed, especially laparoscopic procedures and urogynaecology. The paediatric and adolescent gynaecology is very well developed at the department. There is a subspecialty training in materno-foetal medicine, reproductive medicine, oncogynaecology and paediatric and adolescent gynaecology at the department.
