The EFOG-EBCOG Examination consists of 2 parts:
- · Part 1 is a Knowledge Based Assessment (KBA);
- · Part 2 is a Clinical Skills Assessment (OSCE);
- · When both parts of the examination have been passed the certificate of the EFOG-EBCOG will be awarded.
Successful candidates will receive the award of European Fellow of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EFOG) – EBCOG and may use this title. Passing the exam does not confer or imply a license to practice obstetrics or gynaecology in any country of Europe or elsewhere, but successful candidates become EBCOG Fellows in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EFOG-EBCOG) and will be given a certificate of Fellowship.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the process, please contact the Exam Secretariat at examsecretary@ebcog.eu
How to receive the certificate
By mid-January all participants will receive a notification of their passing status. If they have successfully passed both parts of the examination and therefore qualify for to become European Fellows, they will receive a form to collect their details and information on payment. The deadline for payment will be set in mid-February.
Once payment is received, candidates will receive a PDF version of their certificate.
There are two options to receive the physical version of the certificate. Please note: delayed payment will result in the delayed issue of the certificate.
Receive via post
The certificates will be mailed to participants after the payment deadline in mid-February has passed and within a month from the time they send all the details (name, address etc.) for the shipment.
Receive at the EFOG Awards Ceremony
Diplomas are conferred to the European Fellows during a special ceremony, held at the EBCOG Congress every two years. The Fellows will receive their certificate on stage from the EBCOG President and other EBCOG dignitaries. Cap and gowns will be provided for the ceremony (to be returned).
