World Christmas Competition in Gynecological Ultrasound

The World Christmas Competition in Gynecological Ultrasound is an international, non-profit educational initiative promoted by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS, Rome. The event is dedicated to advancing excellence in gynecological ultrasound through an innovative and highly interactive educational format based on the presentation of complex clinical cases, audience participation through live voting, and multidisciplinary discussion integrating ultrasound findings with surgical and histopathological outcomes.

The scientific programme brings together internationally renowned experts in gynecological ultrasound, gynecologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery, fostering high-level scientific exchange and continuing professional development among specialists and trainees.

In addition to its educational value, the Competition has a strong humanitarian mission. The event is organized on a non-profit basis, with proceeds dedicated to supporting ultrasound training initiatives in low-resource countries. The 2026 edition aims specifically to contribute to educational projects in Africa focused on improving the diagnosis and management of cervical cancer, promoting sustainable capacity-building and better healthcare outcomes for women.
