The Institute for the Care of Mother and Child is a tertiary level facility providing complex gynaecological, obstetrical, and neonatal care. It is one of the biggest Perinatal Centres in the Czech Republic, site of Foetal Medicine Centre capable of intrauterine foetal surgery, Oncogynaecological Centre, Reproductive Medicine Centre, Urogynaecology Centre, and Centre for Treatment of Endometriosis. It is an educational and clinical base of the 3rd Medical School of Charles University, Prague, and the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education. The institute has wide variety of research and involvement in international collaborations. It is also a site of designated WHO Collaborating Centre in Perinatal Medicine.
