Basic Colposcopy Course

The basic Colposcopy courses have been organized since 2012. These courses currently structured according to the EFC’s training program, and were approved and certified by the EFC (European Federation for Colposcopy) for the first time in 2016.
The course provides the basics of introduction to colposcopy. The initial introduction teaches the objectives of the course with theoretical and interactive sessions. These ensure that the student understands the principles of colposcopy and knows how to recognize and identify the lesions in the different images presented, in order to guide the respective treatment and follow up.
Basic colposcopy courses are held in partnership with the University of Algarve and NOVA Medical School, alternately are assigned university credits (ECTS). This year will be assigned 2 ECTS.
